Overview

District Barber Shop LLC ("District Barbershop," "we," "us," or "our") operates barbershop locations in Fort Worth, Texas. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website at districtbarbershop.com, our online booking and waitlist services, and the District Barbershop iOS mobile application (the "App").

Information We Collect

When you book an appointment, join our waitlist, or use the App, we collect your first name, last name, phone number, and optionally your email address. This information is necessary to manage your appointment and send you notifications.

If you sign in to the App using Sign in with Apple, we receive a unique anonymous identifier from Apple, and (only on your first sign-in, and only if you choose to share them) your name and email address. We do not receive your Apple ID password.

If you use the App, we also collect:

Push notification tokens — to send appointment reminders, waitlist alerts, and loyalty updates.

Loyalty program activity — number of completed visits and loyalty stars earned.

Apple Wallet pass install events — if you add your loyalty card to Apple Wallet, we record install status to deliver pass updates.

Basic device information — iOS version, App version, and device model, used for diagnostics and crash analysis.

We also collect standard website usage data through Google Analytics, including pages visited and device type. This data is anonymized and used to improve our website.

How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

Schedule and manage appointments — your name, phone, and email are shared with Square, our booking and payment provider, to create and manage your appointment.

Process payments — payments made through the App are processed by Square using the Square In-App Payments SDK. Apple Pay is supported on devices that have it set up.

Send waitlist notifications — if you join our waitlist, we'll text you when a spot opens up with your preferred barber. These texts are sent through Twilio, our messaging provider.

Notify your barber — when you join the waitlist, your barber receives a notification with your name, service, and preferred dates so they can accommodate you.

Send appointment reminders and App notifications — you may receive text, email, or push notifications about upcoming appointments, waitlist openings, and loyalty milestones.

Operate the loyalty program — track your visits and stars, deliver loyalty rewards, and update your Apple Wallet pass.

Service Providers

We share information only with the third parties listed below, and only as necessary to provide our services:

Square, Inc. — appointment booking, scheduling, and payment processing. Payment card data is handled entirely by Square; we do not see, store, or have access to full card numbers.

Twilio Inc. — sending SMS messages for waitlist notifications, appointment reminders, and one-time sign-in codes.

Apple Inc. — Sign in with Apple, Apple Push Notification service, Apple Wallet, and Apple Pay (when you choose to use it).

Cloudflare, Inc. — application hosting, database, and content delivery for our backend services.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising, retargeting, or audience-building.

Sign in with Apple

The App offers Sign in with Apple as a sign-in option. When you use it, Apple sends us a unique identifier that identifies you to our service without revealing your Apple ID. On your first sign-in, you may choose to share your name and email address (or use Apple's Hide My Email feature, which provides a private relay address). We use this information only to create and manage your account.

When you delete your account in the App, we revoke your Sign in with Apple authorization with Apple as part of the deletion process.

Push Notifications

If you grant the App permission to send push notifications, we will send you notifications related to your appointments (reminders), the waitlist (when a spot opens), and your loyalty program activity (when you earn rewards). We do not send promotional or marketing push notifications without your explicit opt-in.

You can disable push notifications at any time by opening your iOS Settings, finding District Barbershop in the list, and turning off Notifications.

Apple Wallet Pass

The App lets you add your loyalty card to Apple Wallet. When you install the pass, we record the installation so we can deliver updates (for example, when your star count changes). We do not collect any other information through the pass.

Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your App account at any time by opening the App and going to Profile → Delete Account. When you delete your account:

We remove your name, email address, sign-in identifiers, push notification tokens, loyalty balance, saved card reference, and Apple Wallet pass registrations from our active systems.

If you signed in using Sign in with Apple, we also revoke your Sign in with Apple authorization with Apple.

For business and tax recordkeeping, your prior appointment history and any associated records held by Square may be retained independently in accordance with Square's retention policies and applicable law.

You may also request deletion of your data by contacting us at the address below.

Text Messaging

By joining our waitlist, providing your phone number during booking, or signing in to the App with your phone number, you consent to receive text messages from District Barbershop related to your appointments, waitlist status, and one-time sign-in codes. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out of operational text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will no longer receive waitlist or appointment texts from us.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. Payment card data is handled entirely by Square and is never stored on our servers. Our website and App are served over HTTPS/TLS, and our backend services run on secure cloud infrastructure with access controls.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or from our website or App.

Data Retention

We retain your booking, waitlist, and loyalty data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Waitlist entries are automatically removed after the requested dates have passed. When you delete your App account, we remove your personal information as described in the Account Deletion section above.

Children's Privacy

Our website, services, and App are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below and we will promptly delete it.

California Residents

If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) to know what personal information we have collected about you, request deletion of that information, correct inaccurate information, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
