Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book an appointment?

You can book online from our booking page or in the District Barbershop iOS app. Choose your location, your barber, and your service, then pick an available time. You'll get a confirmation right away.

How do I cancel or reschedule?

If you booked online, follow the link in your confirmation email to cancel or reschedule.

If you booked in the app, open Profile → Upcoming Appointments and tap your appointment.

We ask for at least 3 hours' notice when possible. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged a fee per our cancellation policy.

How does the loyalty program work?

You earn one star for every haircut at District Barbershop. After your tenth star, your next cut is free.

You can track your stars in the District Barbershop app and add your loyalty card to Apple Wallet so it's always with you.

I'm not getting my SMS verification code.

Make sure your phone number is entered correctly (US, 10 digits). If your carrier blocks shortcode messages, try Sign in with Apple instead — it works the first time, every time.

How do payments work?

Payments through the app are processed securely by Square. We never see or store your full card number.

Apple Pay is supported on devices that have it set up. You can also save a card on file for faster checkout next time.

How do I delete my account?

Open the District Barbershop app and go to Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, push notification tokens, loyalty balance, and Apple Wallet pass registrations from our systems.

If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke your Sign in with Apple authorization with Apple as part of the deletion.

This action cannot be undone.

How do I turn off notifications?

To turn off push notifications, open your iOS Settings app, find District Barbershop, tap Notifications, and toggle them off.

To adjust appointment reminder preferences (24-hour and 3-hour reminders), open the app and go to Profile → Notification Preferences.

To opt out of SMS messages, reply STOP to any text from us.

The app crashes or won't load.

Try these steps in order:

1. Close the app completely (swipe up from the bottom and swipe the District card up) and reopen it.

2. Check the App Store for a District Barbershop update.

3. Restart your iPhone.

4. If it still won't work, delete and reinstall the app.

If the problem persists, email hello@districtbarbershop.com with your iPhone model and iOS version and we'll dig in.

How does the waitlist work?

If your preferred time isn't available, you can join the waitlist on the booking page. When a spot opens up with your preferred barber on your preferred dates, you'll receive a text with a link.

You'll have 10 minutes to claim the slot before it's offered to the next person on the list.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, walk-ins are welcome when chairs are available. Booking ahead is the best way to guarantee your time, but feel free to stop in. Our website shows live walk-in availability for both shops during business hours.
